April 24, 2012 (Oswego, NY) – ISMA president Howie Lane announced this week at one additional show has been added to the 2012 ISMA schedule. Friday night, August 24, Sandusky Speedway will host the Jaycox/Reed Memorial 50 for ISMA supermodifieds. This date falls on the night before the Berlin Speedway (MI) ISMA event already scheduled.

Lane stated that he had been working on an additional race that weekend as the trip to Michigan for a stand alone show would be expensive for the competitors, especially with gas prices rising daily. “I had been talking to Kevin Jaycox about the possibility of Sandusky running that Friday and Kevin and I came to the decision last week. It’s a win-win situation as it will feature ISMA points and will hopefully make the trip more affordable for the cars and crews,” said Lane.

In addition Jaycox announced that the newly added race would be dedicated to his dad Ralph Jaycox and Craig Reed’s dad Don Reed, both of whom were long time car owners. Ralph Jaycox was a longtime ISMA owner as well when he teamed with his son for many years before Kevin took over the reigns of the Sandusky Speedway.

So, mark those calendars and add a line to your 2012 schedule cards if you’ve already gotten one, on August 24th as the Jaycox/Reed Memorial 50 show. Then plan on heading west for Berlin Raceway to make a great racing weekend happen!
