Mansfield, OH – After severe thunderstorms that eventually spawned some tornadic action in the area Saturday, hit the Mansfield Motorsports Speedway, it was determined at about 10 pm that the ISMA racing had to be postponed. Only warm-ups were finished by the ISMA Lucas Oil-Helping Hands of America Super Series before the storms came. As no racing got underway, a complete program will be run on Saturday October 1 at Mansfield. Friday's 40-lapper was run without a problem on Friday with Chris Perley getting the win.
Times will be announced in the near future. All competitors, crews etc. who have wrist bands must keep them for the October show. Check the ISMA website or www.mansfield-speedway.com for further information. This weekend is also when the MSA Cavalcade was to take place so this should be a good one for supermodified fans.
Without much down time, ISMA heads for Lee USA Speedway this Friday August 19 for a 75 lapper at that 3/8's mile and then on Saturday, they are in Oxford Plains for a 75 lapper at that Maine oval.
Syracuse, NY (November 3, 2018) - The International SuperModified Association gathered at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Syracuse, NY on Saturday, November 3 to honor their 2018 champions and top point getters and to recognize the members with their traditional awards as per member vote. New Englander and part-time ISMA announcer John Spence, was the emcee for the evening.
Thompson, CT (October 14, 2018) – Sunday at the Thompson Speedway appeared to be a great ISMA finale with a strong field of cars and no rain. It turned out to be a great day for the Ben Seitz – Dan Soule 32 team, who easily picked up the feature win, and a day of anticpation and disappointments for Kyle Edwards and Dan Bowes, who were vying for the 2018 ISMA crown in a tight battle.
Oswego, NY (October 4, 2018) – It is not unusual to have the International Supermodified Series season title to go down to the wire, but this year’s chase is a little different. There are two relatively new names on top of the leaderboard. Epping, NH’s Dan Bowes sits just 16 points ahead of Bartlett, TN’s Kyle Edwards; neither of them has ever won an ISMA championship and both have just this season logged in their first career ISMA feature wins.
